TOUR2010 Michi Naki Michi at 郡山 CLUB#9, Fukushima (2010.5.16) Report #1

NICO Touches the Walls held its first concert from TOUR2010 "Michi naki michi" on  May 16, at 郡山 CLUB # 9 (Kooriyama CLUB # 9) in Fukushima.
As the tour's proposal is "playing in places that we've never played before", the setlist was prepared in order to be a compilation of the entire history of the band to date, including songs that show all their facets. The band presented not one, but three new songs that night! The first one is titled "SURVIVE", and was played in the middle of the presentation.  It Seemed  like a single song, like nothing heard before. At the end, Mitsumura said the song was "perfectly eccentric", and everyone started laughing. The second new song was "サドンデス ゲーム" (Sudden Death Game),  presented at the end of the show. With a powerful guitar solo in the middle of it, seems to be a song similar to others like "Bukeshohatto" and "Sono TAXI, 160km/h" for its sound depth. The third was played in Encore. Titled "Diver", the song is typical of NICO, but calmer.(?)

Additionally, the band announced the release of their seventh single, the harbinger of the new phase, to be launched in late July. The track is not yet decided, and will depend on fan reaction to the new songs presented. The single will contain three tracks, two unreleased third and an instrumental version of the title track. The Limited Edition will contain a DVD with footage of the recording of the single.
