"Runner" limited digital release

It was announced that NICO's new song "Runner", main theme for the TBS program "Ekiden", will have a limited digital release from December 26 till January 8. A CD single for the song is still undecided.

The web program JAMBORiii will broadcast this Friday, December 14, NICO's complete apparition on the program, broadcasted on November 16. It was also said that the program was interrupted due to technical problems.

"Yume 1 Gou" sticker for "Chain Reaction" and Final Dates of "ALGORHYTMIQUE"

It was announced that fans who purchase the single "Yume 1 Gou" in the "ALGORHYTMIQUE" tour venue will receive a sticker with the URL for a live presentation of the new song "Chain Reaction", previously played during the tour.
NICO Touches the Walls is also in their last 2 concerts of the biggest tour in carreer so far.
The last stops will be in Tokyo and Osaka, being the grand finale at the ORIX theater, Osaka, on December 20!

Report: 1125 or ii NICO day! 25.11.2012

Yokohama-Blitz is a pretty huge venue in Kanagawa (not in Tokyo). There are almost 2000 people there, I guess. My ticket number was not good, so I was standing the behind of the hall. I couldn’t see what was going on the stage AT ALL, but I really enjoyed the music indeed.

At first, Mitsumura-san came to the stage, saying that he was so happy to have 1125 gig or something. Then, he called Tanaka-san to the stage, and two singers started to sing “Ain’t No Mountains High Enough” together!! As I said, I was strongly expecting them to duet, so I was delightful. Most young audience most likely didn’t know the song though, their voices were just amazing. Well, to be honest, I was so surprised at Mitsumura-san’s vocal…it became really strong and touching. You know, I met him in 2006, so I can see him progressing, which always makes me glad. After the cover, surprisingly, Mitsumura-san started to sing “風待ち (Kaze-Machi)” by Grapevine!! He took the main vocal part and Tanaka-san supported it, very beautiful. Mitsumura-san called Tanaka-san as the “my dear Aniki (big brother)” many times and he’s gone.

Then, it’s time for Grapevine. I was personally happy because they performed the one called “豚の皿 (Buta no Sara),” which I consider a “monster song.” Needless to say, their performing technique was just awesome, but sadly, some of (most of?) audience seemed to be not really familiar with their songs. I enjoyed it anyway though.

Now, NICO hits the stage. At first they play “1125 Theme song,” which I hadn’t heard before, but next song was “泥んこドビー”!! I danced like I’m crazy, and of course the other audience did too. After that, everyone started to clap their hands, yes, “手をたたけ.” It was pretty difficult for me to clap my hands correctly, hahah. Then Mitsumura-san said like “Tonight, we’re gonna play the Rock show!” “病気” was performed with his word. Again, Mitsumura-san’s progress as a singer was clear, especially when he sings old songs. The audience went crazy with “錆びてきた,” I did too. Then “ラッパと娘”…it was mesmerizing!! The ensemble of the band and the Mitsumura-san’s voice were so tight and strong, I got surprised again. Next song was “夢１号,” the harmony of their voices was so beautiful and the chorus part reminded my mind. Oh, I guess a half of the lyric of this song was in English, something like “Baby, maybe, I want you” (Sorry if I’m wrong!)  It was freezing these days in Japan, so “かけら” really fit the situation. But to tell you the truth, Mitsumura-san could not sing the highest notes at last. I prefer this song without the piano by the way. Then, the season somehow went back to the summer, I mean, they played ”夏の大三角形.” I don’t remember about it really because “THE BUNGY” was amazing. During the song, Mitsumura-san and Furu-kun do something like “the guitar battle,” which is enjoyable. Mitsumura-san made us sing that “Oh oh oh oh oohh” part many times. So peaceful.

In encore, at first NICO performed “バイシクル,” and then as I expected, Grapevine members joined. I thought they’d play cover song or something, but what came in to my ears was the intro of “B.C.G”!!!! Oh my goodness, I love that song and I love Tanaka-san’s vocal and I love Mitsumura-san’s too, as a result, I went crazy. How could I hold my sanity with that!! It was fantastic.

NICO's new song "Runner"!

It was decided that NICO Touches the Walls will provide the new song "Runner" as the theme song of TBS program"Ekiden".
"Runner" was written in Matsumura's adolescence. To accentuate strong lyrics, the song needed to be further revision of sound and finishing in lush arrangements.
Broadcast in TBS on December 16th (11:50a.m.) and also "New year Ekiden" (8:50a.m.), on January 1st next year.

NICO Touches the Walls just announced, on their official youtube channel, the countdown for the live broadcast at the Zepp Tokyo concert (tomorrow, Nov. 16!!). In the description, it is said that they will also reveal the new music video for the song "Yume 1 Gou" at the same day! It's up right now the latest recording section video, entitled "New single 'Yume 1 Gou' Vol 8" ! Showing the band's exhaustive time recording the song!

NICO's new cover song!

NICO Touches the Walls to do a rearrangement cover of DREAM COMES TRUE's song 「決戦は金曜日」(Kessenhakin'yōbi) (Friday Showdown), as the b-side for the new single "Yume 1 Gou" , set to be release on December 19. NICO's recording sessions of the single can be seen on their youtube official channel. But for Japan only.

Postponed Concert.

Due to one of the members' health being not so good, the band postponed a concert of the "ALGORHYTMIQUE" tour.  In their official website, the band apologize the happening announcing the new date. The concert of October 28, now is set for November 20. The same tickets for the October concert will be accepted for the November one. They also offer intructions on how to get repayment.

「夢1号」 jacket revealed!

NICO Touches the Walls finaly revealed the jacket for the upcoming single "Yume 1 gou", set to be released on December 19.

As the previous pictures, the artwork shows the members painted, face and cloth.

On the NICO's offcial Youtube channel videos about the production of the new single are being updated (Vol1, Vol2 and Vol3).

As said before, the limited edition comes with a special calendar for notebooks. This time, both versions has the same picture. The tracklist remains unrevealed, but it was said that a live track would be included in the single.

TOUR2010 Michi Naki Michi at 岐阜club-G, Gifu (2010.5.22) Report #3

NICO Touches the Walls held their third concert of "Michi Naki Michi Tour" on May 22, at the club 岐阜-G (Gifu club-G) in Gifu.
The house was already crowded about thirty minutes before the show started.
The band's performance was impressive and safe, as at other times. The three frontmen dominated the stage with Mitsumura on lead vocals and choruses in Furumura and Sakakura, besides the support of drummer Tsutsushima the background. But the audience of Gifu was more excited than ever, and this excited the band running around the stage until it becomes small, and talk a lot with the audience.
The new songs presented in Gifu were "Sokudo" and "Sudden Death Game". The first has already been presented in the Budoukan concert held in March, and seems to be a medium tempo song with the peculiarity of the songs of NICO, which shows the third stage of its evolution. The second, played in two other presentations, was received with enthusiasm as ever and became the most likely candidate to be the summer single.
During the show, the singer Mitsumura revealed that he has relatives in Gifu and then spoke a few words in the local dialect, prompting the audience to madness.

TOUR2010 Michi Naki Michi at Heaven’s Rock Saitama Shintoshin VJ-3, Saitama (2010.5.19) Report #2

It seems that the band was calmer this second show, safer on their own skills. I was played two new songs.
「サドンデス ゲーム」 (Sudden Death Game), as played in Fukushima, stirred the audience. 「君だけ」(Kimi Dake)  is a slow ballad. It seems that begins with a sad distortion from Furumura's guitar, and then begin the song in the sad and pleasant Mitsumura's voice .

Moreover, Mitsumura told a story that took place in Saitama before their debut in the mainstream. He and drummer Shoutarou Tsushima, planned to visit the "John Lennon Museum", but ultimately delighted with an electric chair massage from a store that was in the region .

"But in the end, we went to the museum and saw the panel of John Lennon with Yoko Ono. To celebrate, Shoutarou took a picture that is still in my phone.", said Mitsumura. Shoutarou added: "A photograph of John and Yoko with 'Shou'.

After promising to return to Saitama, the show is over, and the band goes to the next house live: 岐阜 club-G (Gifu club-G) in Gifu, on May 22, Saturday.

NICO Touches the Walls held its first concert from TOUR2010 "Michi naki michi" on  May 16, at 郡山 CLUB # 9 (Kooriyama CLUB # 9) in Fukushima.
As the tour's proposal is "playing in places that we've never played before", the setlist was prepared in order to be a compilation of the entire history of the band to date, including songs that show all their facets. The band presented not one, but three new songs that night! The first one is titled "SURVIVE", and was played in the middle of the presentation.  It Seemed  like a single song, like nothing heard before. At the end, Mitsumura said the song was "perfectly eccentric", and everyone started laughing. The second new song was "サドンデス ゲーム" (Sudden Death Game),  presented at the end of the show. With a powerful guitar solo in the middle of it, seems to be a song similar to others like "Bukeshohatto" and "Sono TAXI, 160km/h" for its sound depth. The third was played in Encore. Titled "Diver", the song is typical of NICO, but calmer.(?)

Additionally, the band announced the release of their seventh single, the harbinger of the new phase, to be launched in late July. The track is not yet decided, and will depend on fan reaction to the new songs presented. The single will contain three tracks, two unreleased third and an instrumental version of the title track. The Limited Edition will contain a DVD with footage of the recording of the single.

TOUR 2012 ALGORHYTMIQUE: 3rd Concert (2012.10.02) Report #2

NICO Touches the Walls held a concert of their nationwide tour at the SHIBUYA-AX, on October 2.

Not only is the longest in the history of NICO, This tour has professed a "free best band ever"! The play became a bohemian night of unprecedented MC.  

At SHIBUYA-AX , they became the first time in four years since ". ~ A Queen of the Night ~ We are NICO Touches the Walls" , in 2008. They were received with great praise and applause.
With open arms, Daisuke Komura and Tatsuya Mitsumura indicates that they are  ready. In this tour, they change the way of the set list for each performance , stir in the song to be played for the first time in a long time and everywhere, even music to be unveiled, arrangements and production  were also added sometimes 

 to surprise the audience.
